Lawson Picnic

In early December 2007 the Blue Mountains Refugee Support Group, a long time friend and generous supporter of the work of the House Of Welcome, hosted our year-end gathering at the scenic picnic grounds of Lawson. The beautiful pool provided cool comfort from the heat as did the violent hail storm on the return journey.

New Year’s Eve Lord Mayor’s picnic

Each year the Lord Mayor of Sydney hosts a New Year’s Eve Party in the Grounds of Government House for special Community groups. Friends of one of our volunteers, Therese Douglas, hosted a picnic day at historic Morpeth in the Hunter Valley. The weather was perfect, the venue ideal and the hosts friendly.

End of Year party 2006

The Parish made the Large Hall at the Holy Rosary Church in Fairfield available for the third year in a row as the venue for our very popular year-end party.
